Our Founder

Natasha Brown, Founder

ASK was born in response to the critical need for community development within the Tampa area. Having spent over a decade working in social work, our founder, Natasha Brown, has first-hand knowledge of practices that effectively mobilize the community. However, it is not only her professional experience she brings to the table. In 2009, Natasha’s eldest sister was murdered. In response, Natasha mobilized community members and the local responders into action; calling not only for justice but awareness of safety needs and supportive services. It is this drive, and dedication, that fuels her desire to build better futures for our youth. For decades, Natasha has served as a youth advocate, mentor, and counselor to at-risk youth, low-income families and children within the foster care dependency system. She brings this breadth of experience, paired with her depth of compassion, to spearhead the programmatic initiatives of ASK.

Since 2015, ASK has been ingrained within the community, primarily through the work Natasha has done on the frontlines of community service work. In addition to building ASK, Natasha is the CEO for Elements of Intervention. She has been a panelist speaker for summits across Tampa including You Deserve to be Love All Girls Summit and Grace Mary Missionary Baptist Church Youth Summit and Career Focus Inc.
