Our Mission

A Sister’s Keeper Foundation, Inc. (ASK) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Foundation was created to honor the founder, Natasha Brown’s sister, Shanita Brown.

ASK’s mission is to educate, empower and inspire women, and provide young ladies outreach services that help cultivate the next generation of responsible leaders while embracing and mentoring young ladies of incarcerated parents and human trafficking.

The Need

Tampa has a poverty rate of almost 20%; there are so many high-need communities and our children especially need support. Academic and workforce achievement are the keys out of poverty. Our youth need all the support they can get. Help us break the cycle.

Our Population

We provide services to Hillsborough County children, ages 10 - 17 with special focus on foster care and court-involved youth. Additionally, as there is a high concentration rate of child trafficking and prostitution in the area, it is a special population of focus.

Our Goals

In the long-term we seek to produce collective community engagement, and empower youth and adults to improve the community. We are making many steps towards this including: developing and implementing activities that engage youth, mobilize families and influence youth in positive decision-making!

Today’s students.
Tomorrow’s leaders.

The time is now to invest in our youth. The time is now to invest in our communities. Donate today to our seed-funding campaign.
